CHIP CHACE: FINE JADE

Fine Jade is one of the best 5.11s in the Desert. It goes straight up the prow of the Rectory facing Castleton Tower. Chip put up the route in 1984 with Patrick Ellinwood, his long-time friend and climbing partner. In this photo Chip is on the last rappel of the descent after we did the climb.
