ENDLESS HAND CRACK, EAST TEMPLE PEAK

Endless+Handcrack.jpg

Most of the climb we did on the left Edge of East Temple Peak (aka Lost Temple Spire) was moderate and non-descript, but this pitch near the top was a mind-blower: a full rope length of dead vertical hand crack. It’s good Chip led this pitch because we only had about three cams that fit that size crack and he really had to space them out. But he was a master crack climber and was just loving it the whole way. This headwall feature is visible in the view of East Temple from camp - it’s the sliver of shadow high on the left edge of the face.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
