AIGUILLE DU MIDI

The two-stage tram ride from Chamonix to the Aiguille du Midi, seen here, is one of the most jaw-dropping things I’ve ever done. I have no idea how they first built the tramway and this hotel-like structure at the top, and no idea what the rocket-thingy is at the very top (maybe some rocket science going on?). The next photo is my wife and son standing on the sky bridge just left of center in this photo.
